คุณภาพของไม้ไผ่ ในปัจจุบันสามารถนำมาทำเฟอร์นิเจอร์ระดับไฮเอนด์  โดยใช้ไผ่ตรง ที่มีอายุประมาณ 5-6 ปี ซึ่งปัจจุบันได้พัฒนา ด้วยทางเทคโนโลยีถึงระดับที่ใช้ทดแทนไม้ได้แล้ว ในเชิงความแข็งแรงทนทาน โดยธรรมชาติของไม้ไผ่ซึ่งมีเซลล์ลักษณะแนวยาว ซึ่งมีความแข็งแรงในตัวอยู่แล้ว ที่เรามาเสริมคือการป้องกันเนื้อไม้จากแมลง และเชื้อรา คือการใช้ระบบน้ำยากันมอด แมลง และน้ำยากันเชื้อรา กระบวนการเหล่านี้ทำให้มูลค่าต้นทุนสูง

ปัจจุบัน วัตถุดิบไม้ไผ่ได้นำมาทำผลิตภัณฑ์ หลากหลาย อาทิ เฟอร์นิเจอร์ไม้ โต๊ะ เก้าอี้ และอุปกรณ์ตบแต่งภายใน ไปจนถึงพื้นไม้ปาร์เก้ ปาร์เก้ไม้ ผนังไม้ไผ่ แม้แต่หลังคาไม้ไผ่
